SRINAGAR, Dec 8: People’s Welfare Society Ganderbal and Pensioners and Senior Citizens Welfare Association have expressed concern over the shortage of doctors and para medical staff at the Unani Medical College and Associated Hospital, Nawabagh Ganderbal district of Central Kashmir.
In a statement issued here, today the patron of the Association, Mir Ghulam Rasool Butwani said that patients coming for treatment in the Hospital face problems due to shortage of doctors and staff and people are suffering badly due to it.
He said there is a lot of rush of patients in the Hospital but they have to return in utter disgust due to lack of doctors and para medical staff. Mir has taken up the issue with higher ups in Health and Medical Education Department including the Principal of the College. He also brought the issue in the notice of District Development Commissioner, Ganderbal urging him to take up the issue with the concerned department for redressal of the problem.
He in an appeal to Lt Governor , Manoj Sinha has also sought his personnel intervention in the matter so that the suffering humanity gets better medicare facilities especially in the COVID Pandemic when people are relying more on traditional system of medicine.
