Concern over water scarcity in Wakura

JAMMU, Feb 6: Peoples Welfare Society (PWS) Ganderbal has expressed grave concern over acute water scarcity in Wakoora area and urged the Government to take important steps in solving the problem.
The president of the Society, Mir Ghulam Rasool Butwani said that water scarcity today forced the people to come to streets and protest. He urged the PHE authorities to ensure proper drinking water supply in the area.
Mir took up the issue with Tehsildar Wakura and other officers of PHE also and urged them that further slackness on the part of authorities will lead to public unrest.
He said the Government should taken proper steps to provide basic amenities to people by proper ensuring water and electricity supply.
