Condemnations pour in over killing of Principal, teacher

JAMMU, Oct 7: Condemnations poured in over killing of Principal and teacher of a Government school by terrorists in Eidgarh area of Srinagar today morning.
MOS PMO Dr Jitendra Singh has expressed sadness over the gruesome killing of two innocents teachers including a woman by terrorists. “Where are those votaries of Human Rights who otherwise don’t lose a moment in raising voice if a terrorist gets neutralised by security forces?”, Dr Singh tweeted.
Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Party President, Member of Parliament from Srinagar Dr Farooq Abdullah and Vice President Omar Abdullah condemned the brutal killing of Satinder Kaur, Principal BHSS Eidgah and Deepak Chand a teacher at the same school unequivocally, saying the series of killings in Kashmir is another horrid display of cruelty and barbarism and will inadvertently complicate the return of peace in the region. Meanwhile Party General Secretary Ali Muhammad Sagar, Additional General Secretary Dr Sheikh Mustafa Kamal, Provincial President Nasir Aslam Wani, Party Treasurer Shammi Oberoi, Senior leaders Mubarak Gul, Shameema Firdous, Irfan Shah, party MPs Mohammad Akbar Lone, Hasnain Masoodi and many others also condemned the killings unequivocally.
Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) President Mehbooba Mufti said that the spate of civilian killings in Kashmir reflects the utter failure of what she termed “double-engine Modi Government.” “I am tired of issuing condemnations to civilian killings now. Every day there is a killing of civilians. Today, two teachers were killed,” the PDP chief told reporters in Srinagar. She said that now people would face the more stringent security measures as the Government will try to hide its failures by resorting to “tough security measures in Srinagar and elsewhere.”
All J&K Plus 2 Officers Association in a meeting under the chairmanship of its President Dr Prithvi Paul Raina condoled the demise of a Principal Satvinder Kour and Teacher Deepak Chand of Government Girls Higher Secondary School Eidgah Srinagar, in a barbaric act of terrorism while performing their duties in the institution.
Bhupinder Singh President and Joginder Digra Vice President of Jammu and Kashmir Teacher Association condemned the killings. JKTA demanded protections of all teachers who are serving in the Kashmir valley.
All Parties Sikh Coordination Committee (APSCC) condemned the killing of Government teachers Surinder Kour and Deepak Chand. In a statement, APSCC Chairman Jagmohan Singh Raina has said that the killings are part of the conspiracy hatched to create a wedge among the majority and minority communities living in the Kashmir valley. APSCC Chairman asked the Sikh youth who are working in different Government departments to boycott their duties and sit at their homes as long as their security is not ensured by the Government. He asked members of the majority Muslim community to intervene and secure the lives of minority community members.
BJP national general secretary Tarun Chugh has described incidents of militants’ attack in Srinagar as a “cowardly act of disruptive and anti-national forces backed by Pakistan ISI”. Chugh, who is the party observer for the J&K, said the killing of two Government school teachers, including a woman, today in Eidgah area was a heinous crime committed by desperate terrorists trying to scuttle peace and development in the Valley.
Teacher’s Welfare Association President Jasmeet Singh Madaan condemned the barbaric terrorist attack which left the Principal and a teacher dead in Srinagar today. Madaan demanded that educational institutions in Kashmir valley be provided adequate security and employees particularly minority communities and PM’s Package employees be given adequate security.
J&K United School Teachers Association (USTA) condemned the brutal and cowardice act of continuous killing of innocent persons in Kashmir Valley. Killing of teachers by inhuman elements in the school premises is most unfortunate and tragic which has shocked the humanity, the release issued by USTA reads.
Jammu Kashmir Private Schools Coordination Committee condemned the killing of innocent teachers in the Srinagar and demand à higher level enquiry. A meeting of JKPSCC was held under the joint leadership of Rameshwar Singh Manhas and Dr Hari Dutt Shishu in which all the members termed this act of terrorists a new modus operandi to stifle the voice of rationality and those who always stand for the Nation. The leadership of Private Schools Coordination Committee has appealed to the GoI to ensure the safety and security of the teachers in the UT.
Bhartiya Janata Party Jammu and Kashmir Chief Spokesperson Sunil Sethi noted that such terror attacks are being carried out at a time when peace has finally returned to Valley and there is high inflow of tourists and also investors particularly in Kashmir region. “These attacks are anti national, anti human and anti Kashmiris. It tends to send signals to people visiting Valley to get dissuaded which interalia will affect masses in Valley”, he added. He said that targeting people who had remained in Valley despite Terrorism all these years is with intent to cause fear and panic to engineer fresh exodus of minorities from Valley which is not tolerable.
Sikh United Front J&K held a meeting under the chairmanship of its Chairman Sudershan Singh Wazir. While speaking, Wazir said that the killing of the teachers by terrorists is the cowardice attack on the minorities of Kashmir. He appealed to the Lieutenant Governor to bring perpetrators of this crime to justice and assured the security of minorities in Kashmir.
Balvinder Singh Social activist and President Sikh Progressive Front along with Manjit Singh General Secretary, Rajinder Singh Sudan Vice President, Harmohinder Singh President Displaced Kashmiri Sikhs, Janak Singh, Iqbal Singh, Sharanjit Singh and TP Singh condemned the barbaric killings of Principal and a teacher in Srinagar today.
Apni Party President Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari expressed deep shock and grief over the brutal killings of two teachers. In a statement issued here, Bukhari termed the incident as a dastardly coward act wherein civilians have been targeted mercilessly. The Government must act tough against the perpetrators of this heinous crime against humanity,” Bukhari said and demanded security measures that can prevent such brutal killings across Kashmir.
Congress has expressed grave concern over the rising incidents of selective and targeted killings in the Kashmir Valley. JKPCC Chief Spokesperson Ravinder Sharma, Vice President Raman Bhalla, General Secretaries Yogesh Sawhney and Manmohan Singh, Former Minister Mula Ram and President DCC Jammu Rural Hari Singh Chib condemned the gruesome killings of two school teachers including Principal. “Government must wake up to the situation and ensure the safety and security of innocent people especially the minority community who are feeling more unsafe now”, the leaders added.
Vishwa Hindu Parishad Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh unit condemned the inhuman, barbaric terrorist act of killing of Sikh Lady Principal Supinder Kaur and teacher Deepak Chand in broad day light during school working hours in Srinagar. VHP in a meeting at Jammu, chaired by Rajesh Gupta, Prant Karyadhyaksh and attended by State Secretary Abhishek Gupta, Vice President Shakti Dutt Sharma, Bajrang Dal Chief Kartik Soodan and other state officers conveyed their sympathies with the bereaved families and expressed that the effort to derail the peace process in Kashmir will not be allowed to be disturbed at any cost.
After the killing of 5 minority citizens of Kashmir by terrorists in the last 4 days, Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress workers demonstrated against Pakistan at Gangyal Chowk and blamed Pakistan for this cruelty. The demonstration was organized by the Block Congress Gandhi Nagar. Former Minister Raman Bhalla and Former Jammu Municipal Corporation Chairman Satish Sharma also participated in the protest. “Government should strengthen the security of Kashmiri Pandits and Sikh brothers and sisters living in Kashmir”, the protestors demanded.
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Vice-president Jammu-Poonch Parliamentary constituency Rajesh Guptaon condemned the heinous crime by the terrorists. He said that terrorists who killed innocent civilians should be dealt strictly.
Apni Party Provincial President Jammu Manjit Singh condemned the killing of two innocent Government School teachers including a Principal in Srinagar. In a statement, Manjit Singh, Former Minister, said, “The cowardly act was the part of a conspiracy to hurt the communal brotherhood between the two communities and bring instability in Kashmir and mistrust among the people who are living with each other since centuries”.
Chamber of Commerce and Industries Jammu condemned the continuous killings in Kashmir Valley during the past few days especially the three killings in an hour on Tuesday evening and the killing of the Principal and a teacher today. In a meeting held under the Presidentship of Arun Gupta along with the office bearers Anil Gupta, Senior Vice President, Rajeev Gupta Junior Vice President, Gaurav Gupta, Secretary General and Rajesh Gupta, Secretary in which Arun Gupta said that by targeting innocent people and non locals the terrorists are trying to create fear among them especially among the members of minority communities including Kashmiri Pandits and Sikhs. He urged the Central Government to take serious note of such unabated killings and take stringent action against the culprits to stop such killings before it is too late.
National Chairman Anti Terrorist Front BS Bitta and J&K UT President Bharat Bhandari condemned the killing of school teachers in Srinagar today and demanded strict action against the terrorists behind killing of innocent people in Kashmir.
Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad Jammu Kashmir condemned the killing of Principal and a Teacher. ABVP Jammu Kashmir State Secretary Mukesh Manhas said that the Government should take strict action against the culprits.

Zaffar appealed to all political and social organizations viz DDC members of society to come together and raise voice against those forces who are hell bent to disturb the peaceful atmosphere of J&K.
Ashok Kumar, Former MLA from Ramban condemned the spree killing of civilians in Kashmir. In a statement, he said that it has become everyday business in Kashmir where innocent lives of non-Muslims are being targeted by the terrorist. He demanded immediate arrest of the culprits.
Chairman People’s Democratic Front PDF Hakeem Yaseen has expressed serious concern over spurt in civilian killings in recent days in Kashmir valley. Yaseen appealed to the civil society to voice it’s concern in strong terms against target killing of civilians.
CPI (M) leader Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami said that the killing of two school teachers in Srinagar is most unfortunate and tragic and such barbaric incidents have no place in a civilised society. “Such brutal killings are harmful for the society and can’t be justified under any circumstances”, he added.
Lok Jan Shakti Party’s National General Secretary and its National Spokesperson Sanjay Saraf has condemned the barbaric killing of two school teachers, ML Bindroo a prominent businessman and others in last few days which is a matter of serious concern for minorities working or living in Kashmir valley from security point of view. He appealed to the Lt Governor to tighten the security apparatus and ensure the safety of the minorities working in valley.
BJP co-convener incharge J&K Ashish Sood has condemned the killing of people by terrorists in Kashmir. In a statement issued here, he said those indulging in such inhuman acts are enemies of humanity and they have no religion.
All Displaced Kashmiri Employees Forum (ADKEF) President, M K Tickoo and its general secretary, R K Razdan condemned the killing of innocent people especially members of minority community in Valley by terrorists and demanded beefing up security to minorities in Kashmir.
Displaced Traders representatives Ashok Kangan and Shiban Ji Hakoo condemned the killings of minority community in Valley. Killing innocent people is not any bravery but a cowardice act and it is high time for majority community in Kashmir to revolt against forces propagating terrorism, they added.
Kashmiri Khatri Hindu Maha Sabha Chairman and President Ramesh Chander Mahajan condemned the cowardly killing of two teachers including a Principal. He demanded concrete steps by the Central Government to protect the lives of innocent Hindus living in Kashmir valley.
Trikuta Kashmiri Samiti Jammu condemned the brutal killing of innocent people in Kashmir for last three days. “Killing has actually created fear psychosis among all those who are working under PM’s employment package in the valley. We request the administration to provide the security to all these employees”, the statement issued by the Samiti reads.
President Kashmiri Pandit Sabha Ambphalla Jammu KK Khosa has condemned the killing of innocent people including two Government teachers in Kashmir. He appealed to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah to frame a well thought out policy for handling the J&K situation.
All Displaced Kashmiri United Forum President DN Kissu also condemned the killing of teachers in Srinagar today and demanded strict action against the terrorists behind this cowardly attack.
Amar Nath Thakur President Incharge Lecturers Forum, Chairman JK School Education Employees Co-ordination and Jammu Kashmir Government Teacher’s Forum condemned the barbaric and inhuman act of enemies of peace, humanity, brotherhood and nature who killed innocent Principal and a teacher in Srinagar today. He said that Government must ensure the safety and security of all and particularly the minority community teachers and other employees in the valley.
“The murder of two teachers by terrorists in a school at Srinagar is really shocking”, said Former Minister RS Chib. “I expect that the Government will wake up and not make big statements in Media only”, he added.
Vice President YNC J&K and Incharge YNC Minority Cell Jatin Bhat condemned the selective killings in Kashmir. He urged Lieutenant Governor J&K Manoj Sinha to deport the Kashmiri Pandit employees working in the Valley to Jammu till situation gets normalised.
