JAMMU, Mar 21: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that the condition of those who perpetrated terror on India is visible to the people of this country and the world and declared that the `New India’ doesn’t silently suffer the wounds inflicted by terror.
Addressing the CNN TV18 Rising India Summit last night, Modi without naming Pakistan said people of this country as well as the world know what is the condition today of those who perpetrated terror upon us.
Pakistan has been facing acute economic crisis and has to be bailed out by the International bodies. A large number of terrorists have been gunned down by the unknown persons in Pakistan and PoJK during past few months.
Asserting that the `New India’ doesn’t silently suffer the wounds inflicted by terror, the Prime Minister said instead it used all its might to teach the attackers an unforgettable lesson.
“A secure nation lays the foundation of a developed nation. This is India’s identity today and this is Rising Bharat,” Modi said.
During his address, the Prime Minister recalled that when he was attending the conclave five years ago, a significant event took place after that.
“In February 2019, I calmly left after exchanging greetings. And then India carried out airstrikes in the night at Balakot,” he said.
It may be mentioned here that in response to Pulwama terror attack in Kashmir in which nearly 40 CRPF bravehearts sacrificed their lives, Indian Air Force conducted airstrikes on a Jaish-e-Mohammed terror camp deep inside Pakistan at Balakote in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa eliminating large number of Jaish cadre.
“Whether terrorist masterminds or countries seeking peace and development, everyone has experienced the phenomenon of Rising Bharat,” Modi said.
He said in the last 10 years, 25 crore people came out of poverty and added that this did not happen easily. “We became the fifth largest economy”.
He said the Government is taking tough action against the corruption and will continue to act against the corrupt.
“Modi guarantees that the next five years will be of unprecedented growth, expansion and prosperity,” the PM said, adding that “India is a pilot that will take global growth to new heights.”
Reflecting on the achievements of the past decade, Modi highlighted the efficacy of his Government’s “Nation First” approach.
Modi emphasized the Government’s commitment to addressing their long-standing challenges. “There was not a single scheme in the earlier Governments for the middle class living in cities. If any Government made a plan for middle-class houses, then our Government made it. We gave subsidies for houses to middle-class people and gave relief in interest. In this way we spent about Rs 50,000 crore,” he added.
