JAMMU, Nov 26: Bus Stand police arrested a conductor-cum-drug peddler along with 1.200 kilograms of poppy straw.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Bus Stand Police Station led by SHO JJ Bhagat laid a naka and intercepted a pedestrian, who was moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police team recovered around 1.200 kilograms of poppy straw from the possession of the pedestrian and arrested him.
The arrested person has been identified as Vicky Sharma, son of Ashok Sharma, a resident of District Rajouri. He was working as a conductor with a truck.
A case under FIR Number 37/2020 under relevant sections has been registered at Bus Stand Police Station and investigation started.
