DODA, Oct 13: A conductor of a mini-bus was killed and another person was injured when the vehicle fell into a 150-feet deep gorge in Malwana area of the district today.
As per police sources, the deceased conductor identified as Ishtiaq Ahmad, son of Shamas Din of Malwana District Doda was reversing the mini-bus bearing registration number JK10-4913 in the absence of its driver when it skidded off the road and fell into the gorge at Malwana.
Nazir Ahmad, son of Abdul Gani, a resident of Malwana District was sitting inside the mini-bus when the accident took place and received injuries.
After getting information, a police party immediately rushed to the spot and along with the help of the locals shifted both the injured occupants to District Hospital Doda, where doctors declared Ishtiaq as brought dead.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Doda Police Station and investigation started.
