KARGIL, May 5: A conductor was killed when the vehicle he was traveling came under avalanche near Shatani Nallah, falling under the jurisdiction of Drass Police Station, a police official said.
As per police sources, a Tata 709 vehicle bearing registration number JK18-9189 came under avalanche near Shatani Nallah, resulting into death of the conductor.
The deceased has been identified as Tauseef Ahmad Mir, son of Ghulam Mohammad, a resident of District Ganderbal Kashmir.
After completing medical and legal formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to legal heirs for last rites.
Drass Police has taken cognizance in this regard.
