JAMMU, June 28: AIl India Confederation of SC/ST Organizations ‘Parisangh’ organised a mammoth virtual rally.
Dr Udit Raj, National Chairman of Parisangh, said that the Supreme Court and High Courts are giving judgements against the interests of SC, ST and OBC. It has been observed the judiciary is biased against the interests of SC, ST and OBC, he added.
We demand that matters like reservation, reservation in promotions, legality of SC and ST Atrocities Act should not be heard without the judges of these communities involved, he added.
Dr Udit Raj and RK Kalsotra, President UT J&K further said that under the garb of Aatma Nirbhar Economic Package, the Government laid a policy to erode the base of reservation even further. It has allowed private businesses to enter in to the businesses of public sector undertakings which are exclusively done by them, they added.
“Instead of fighting the menace of COVID-19, Government is harming the rights of vulnerable sections– SC, ST and OBCs by diluting the provisions of reservation as private sector does not provide reservation”, they maintained.
Kalsotra led the virtual Zoom Rally from J&K. He said that the recent observations of the Supreme Court are highly against the interests of SC, ST and OBCs.
