JAMMU, Oct 21: All India Confederation of SC/ST/OBC Organisations today warned a mass agitation against the purported manipulation of Reservation Roster by the Central University of Jammu, which affects SC, ST, OBC and others reserved category candidates.
A meeting of the Confederation was held at its headquarter for discussing the issue threadbare and adopt further course of action against the manipulation of CUJ.
In the meeting, it was resolved to apprise the Governor Satya Pal Malik through media seeking immediate action against those high ups of CUJ involved in the matter and instruct the Vice Chancellor of the University to immediately rectify the Roster on its correct position. Otherwise State unit of the Confederation will launch district wise protests on this issue, the meet warned.
While addressing the meeting, State President of the Confederation, R K Kalsotra fully supported the protests of the reserved category students and extend full support in future agitation to students community and he assured that Confederation will expose those who were involved in changing the Roster Point of Reserved categories students.
S Kulwant Singh appealed to the Governor to take strict action against those who have changed the Roster Point.
Others who spoke, included Shafi Bajad, Er Sham Bassan and Ashwani Bhagat.
