Jammu, Oct 29: A Jan Aushadhi Mitra Sammelan was today organized at District Hospital Udhampur with the aim to aware the general masses about the need of Jan Aushadhi Drugs which a reavailable to general public at cheaper rates.
M.S. Khan Additional Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Dr. Jogeshwar Gupta President Municipal Council Udhampur, Lt. Col. Dr.Harleen Chopra, Microbiologist MH Udhampur, Prof Dr. Vishal Tandon GMC Jammu, Renuka Raina, Assistant Drug Controller Udhampur, Rakesh Sharma, Councilor Ward No. 13 Udhampur, Suram Chand from NGO along with 10 youth volunteers were the special guest during the Sammelan.
Besides, Dr. K.C. Dogra, Chief Medical Officer Udhampur, Dr. Vijay Raina Medical Superintendent District Hospital Udhampur, doctors and staff of District Hospital Udhampur were present during the Sammelan.
Dr. Deepak Koul, Consultant Physician District Hospital Udhampur delivered lecture about the need of Jan Aushadhi Medicines and other essential drugs for the general public. Thereafter Prof Dr. Vishal Tandon Department of Pharmocolgy and Therapeutics GMC Jammu also delivered lecture about the essential durgs and Jan Aushadhi drugs which are available at Jan Aushadhi Store at District Hospital Udhampur at cheaper rates.
The occasion provided an opportunity to reaffirm the inherent strength and resilience of the nation to withstand the actual and potential threats to the unity, integrity and security of the country. The day is meant to instill a sense of belonging to the nation in the hearts of every citizen of India.
Besides, Jan Aushadhi Mitras participated with special guests who also spoke about the glorious and eventful life of Sardar Patel and how his vision to the Nation is harmonious with the objective of Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Jan Aushadhi Pariyojana.
