Cong activists protest against Food Security Act

Reasi, Mar 2: Congress activists today staged a demonstration at Reasi in protest against the implementation of new Food Security Act across the State under which 3 kg raw grain and 2 kg sugar will be issued to the consumers.
The protesters assembled at Zanana Park Reasi and took out a protest march passing through main bazar of the town before its culmination at Bus Stand Reasi.
The protests march was led by Congress district general secretary, Tariq Bhat, who said that  implementation of Food Security Act is poised to deprive huge chunk of population of much needed ration, as due thought has not been given while moving ahead in this  anti-people measure.
The protesters also raised various demands including immediate blacktopping of Reasi Sula Park road ,  starting of child and maternity care facility in old district hospital , new approach road to the district hospital from Reasi, etc.
