Cong adopting double standards: BJP

JAMMU, May 13: Various BJP leaders have accused the Congress for adopting double standards when the nation is facing the dreaded COVID Pandemic. BJP district president, R S Pura, H S Pummy today said when Prime Minister in coordination with Chief Ministers of States had launched a war against the dreaded virus, the Congress party is trying to hoodwink public opinion and mislead them.
He said when PM announced lockdown last year Congress vice president, Rahul Gandhi and other of party allies opposed it and now the party and its allies are demanding complete lockdown in the country which shows its double standards.
The BJP Kashmir Displaced District which held a meeting here, today under the chairmanship of its president, Chand Ji Bhat while commenting on the statements of Congress Chief, Sonia Gandhi termed the conduct of the party deplorable. It said that India is fighting a war against the COVID Pandemic and the Congress and other opposition parties instead of joining hands with Government to fight the Pandemic are politicking over the issue which is unfortunate.
BJP leader and convener, Department of Training, Dr Parmesh Mahajan said Congress, NC and PDP have gone into hibernation during the present challenging times when the country is fighting second wave of COVID Pandemic.
