Cong alone can change destiny of people : Balwan

JAMMU, Dec 18: On the last day of his election campaign, Congress candidate from Marh Balwan Singh organised a road show in different areas of Marh Assembly segment, interacted with cross sections of society and requested them to support Congress.
During his road show, Balwan Singh covered Phalain Mandal, Sumb, Mandal, Sampuranpur, Kulyian, Makwal Camp, Suranjana, Paralpur  villages of this Assembly segment.
A mammoth gathering accompanied Balwan during his road show especially the youths of the Assembly segment and reposed faith in his leadership and Congress party. They also raised slogans in support of Congress and its candidate.
Congress leader was also accorded warm welcome at various places and locals appreciated his hard work for the welfare of people since he joined Congress.
While addressing the gathering, Balwan asserted that the Congress-led Government alone can change the destiny of remote, backward and far flung areas of the State adding that Azad led Government has demonstrated its will and ability between 2006-08 to spread the fruits of developments to the hitherto neglected and marginalised areas.
While seeking support of the people, Balwan said that Congress is contesting elections to give voice to the people of Jammu region which were remained discriminated by Kashmir centric Government. He assured that unlike other political parties, Congress representatives would not remain as mute spectators. “We are committed to highlight peoples’ problems of the people” he said.
He also claimed that people that if voted to power, he will not make people suffer with discrimination anymore and promised recruitment rallies for youths, immediate repair of bridge over Niki Tawi, protection walls around Nikki Tawi to save Tawi Island.
Gulazar Singh, Kulbhushan Khajuria, Saudagar Singh, Sarpanchs; Ex-Sarpanch  Sat Pal Sharma, Darshan Motton, Shiv Ram, Capt Kartar Singh, Ashok Kumar, Sham Lal ex-Sarpanch, Soni, Rashpal Chand, Col Som Nath Dogra, Piyari Devi Sarpanch and Goma Devi algo accompanied the Congress candidate.
