UDHAMPUR, Aug 9: To discuss the present scenario in Jammu & Kashmir and promote a trust building atmosphere among all the communities, District Congress Committee Udhampur organized a meeting here today at DCC office Dhar road, under the chairmanship of District president Ashok Gupta.
A large no of party activists and people of social organizations participated in the meeting and gave their suggestions for strengthening the communal harmony and trust among the people of different faiths.
While addressing party workers, Ashok Gupta said that Congress has always worked for unity, national integration and for making an atmosphere of trust and tolerance in the society. He appealed the party workers for peace, confidence building and trust among each other.
Ex MLA Krishan Bhagat asked people to remain cautious from anti-social elements and rumour mongers, who were hell bent to disturb peace in the region.
