JAMMU, Jan 31: J&K unit of Congress today said that the two set of rates of onion for Kashmir and Jammu reflects the blatant neglect and discriminatory attitude of the present Govt under BJP regime.
Reacting to news carried in this newspaper today, JKPCC chief spokesperson Ravinder Sharma termed it unfortunate that these actions reflect the total neglect by UT Administration and political opportunism of the ruling party at the Centre which has been taking people of Jammu for granted after riding to the ladder of power on the emotions of the people of Jammu region owing to feelings of neglect and discrimination.
He said that how two set of rates are prescribed by the Govt whereas, the freight charges are higher for Kashmir but rates there are less there as compared to Jammu. The people are realising the attitude and approach of the present dispensations for quite sometime towards Jammu region in various spheres of life as BJP takes Jammu for granted, for obvious reasons but it is most unfortunate and eye opener for the people here, Sharma maintained.
