Cong attacks PDP, BJP

NEW DELHI, Feb 1:  Congress today accused PDP and BJP of “violating” the mandate of the people by not forming Government in Jammu and Kashmir and expressed the hope that better sense would prevail on them.
“I charge PDP and BJP with ignoring, belying, violating fundamental democratic mandate from people in the sensitive border State. They have been elected to govern and even a minute’s delay is not good,” party spokesman Abhishek Singhvi told reporters.
Singhvi said that the political uncertainty has caused a situation “more serious” than people might think due to frequent “flip-flop-flips” by the coalition partners as earlier there was a Government in place whose rule might have been marked by “misgovernance or non-governance”.
The Congress’ attack came at a time when Governor N N Vohra called PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti and State BJP chief Sat Pal Sharma for meeting tomorrow asking them to clarify their stand on formation of Government. (PTI)
