Cong, BJP, NC exploited poor, down trodden: BSP

JAMMU, Mar 8: State unit of the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) has alleged that Congress, BJP and National Conference have always exploited the poor and down trodden members of the society for the vote bank.
Addressing public meetings at Dewangarh, Nawabad, Pindi Sarochan, Jabbowal, Badyal Kazian and Haripur in Suchetgarh constituency today, State unit president of the BSP Tarsem Khullar alleged that Scheduled Castes, STs and OBCs were not granted benefits of reservation by the respective Governments. He said that BSP would continue its struggle for the poor and down trodden members of the society.
Mr Khular also referred to the role of Dr Bim Rao Ambedkar and popular leader Kanshi Ram for waging struggle for the up-liftment of SCs and other down trodden members of the society. He said that even after 76 years of independence the power to the down trodden members is still a dream.
He also disclosed that birth anniversary of Kanshi Ram ji will be celebrated on March 15 near Kunjwani Chowk and a huge rally will be organised on this day. The burning issues of the SC/OBC/ST community will be raised forcefully at this platform.
During meetings, the people of Suchetgarh constituency also narrated their problems and requested the BSP leaders to take up the same with the concerned higher officials. They referred to the condition of roads, lanes and drains; poor supply of electricity, health centres etc.
Senior leaders R K Chargotra State coordinator, Hari Singh Thappa, K L Attri and Ajaib Singh Motton also addressed the meetings.
