Widespread condemnation of yesterday’s terrorist attack

JAMMU, June 10: Yesterday’s terrorist attack on a Yatri bus in Teryath village of Poni area in Reasi district yesterday in which nine Shivkhori pilgrims were killed and 43 others were injured after the bus fell into a deep gorge evoked a widespread condemnation.

A massive protest was held by Jammu Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) led by Raman Bhalla working president JK PCC at PCC Headquarters here today. The protestors carrying placards in their hands were raising slogans against Pakistan and Modi Government for its failure in containing terrorism in J&K.
Amidst sloganeering `Modi Ji Ek Kaam Kro, Kursi Shodo Aaram Karo,’ `Modi Sarkar Hai Hai’, `Pakistan Murdabad’ etc. They strongly condemned the terrorist attack on a bus en route Shiv Khori to Katra in Reasi district which resulted into loss of nine precious lives and injuries to 43 others mostly from UP and Delhi.
Attacking the Modi Government, Raman Bhalla PCC working president said that the militancy has revived while Government is making false claims. The Government should take concrete steps to control militancy and save innocent people. He said that such inhuman acts affect the normal lives of those who have nothing to do with these issues. Bhalla expressed sympathy with bereaved families and prayed for early recovery of the injured.
The dastardly act was also strongly condemned by PCC general secretary, Narinder Gupta, PCC vice president, Yogesh Sawhney, Ved Mahajan, Vinod Sharma, Yash Paul Kundal, Hari Singh Chib, Taranjit Singh Tony etc.
To condemn the terrorist attack a strong protest was held by Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) at Kacchi Chawni here, today.
The protest was led by district BJYM president Jammu Kanav Sharma in which enraged BYYM leaders Sanjay Sharma , State vice president, Rajat Singh Manhas, district president Jammu North, Monu Salathia district president Jammu South, Neeraj Chandra vice president Jammu, Aadesh Goswami and many others participated.
The protestors demanded immediate action against the terrorists responsible for this barbaric and inhuman act. The protestors also torched the Pakistani flags.
Former Sadar-e-Riyasat and MP, Dr Karan Singh has also strongly condemned the ghastly terror attack on a bus carrying pilgrims in Reasi district killing innocent pilgrims.
Expressing his deep sorrow and outrage, the former MP said “This barbaric act of violence against the peaceful pilgrims is utterly reprehensible. My heartiest condolences go out to the families of the victims. The entire nation stands with them in this moment of grief”.
While raising serious concern over incidents of terrorism in J&K, “Dr Karan Singh said” In recent times , we have witnessed several terror attacks in Rajouri and Poonch districts and the last one in Reasi district is a matter of grave concern. It is alarming to see such acts of terror spreading across different parts of Jammu region”. He urged the Government to take strong measures to curb acts of terrorism.
Senior BJP leader and Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha), Gulam Ali Khatana has strongly condemned the cowardly terrorist attack on a bus carrying tourists in Reasi. In a statement Khatana said that the country under the strong leadership of PM Modi is committed to zero tolerance against terrorism. He said that soon the terrorists involved in the gruesome attack will be dealt by the mighty Indian Army. Khatana prayed for peace to the departed souls and courage to the bereaved families to bear the irreparable loss they have suffered by the sudden loss of their loved ones.
BJP J&K UT president, Ravinder Raina while condemning this inhuman and barbaric act said the coward Pakistani terrorists who attacked a passenger bus in Reasi district yesterday will have to pay a heavy price. In his statement, Raina said the coward Pakistani army can’t face our brave hearts and so they are targeting innocent people including women and children and the terrorist who carried out this barbaric attack will have to pay a heavy price for that.
Strongly condemning the Reasi terror attack which left nine pilgrims dead and several others injured, CPI (M) senior leader and former MLA, M Y Tarigami said such senseless violence serves no purpose and only brings anguish and devastation to victims’ families. He urged authorities to provide the best possible treatment to the injured.
Former MLC, Vikramaditya has also strongly condemned the terrorist attack targeting peaceful pilgrims traveling from Shiv Khori shrine to Katra in Reasi district yesterday. The former MLC in a statement issued today expressed his profound grief and offered his condolences to the families of the victims. He also prayed for quick recovery of the injured and for the peace and solace of those who lost their lives.
Senior BJP leader and former MLC, M K Ajatshatru Singh has also strongly condemned the terrorist attack and killing of nine pilgrims. Expressing his deep sorrow and solidarity, the senior BJP leader stated, “My heart goes to the families of those who have lost their lives in this barbaric act of violence. I share in their grief and pray that the injured recover swiftly and fully.”
Dogra Brahmin Pretinidhi Sabha Parade also strongly condemned the heinous terrorist attack on pilgrims in Reasi and demanded that the Central Government should take serious note of escalating terrorist activities in J&K to ensure the safety and security of citizens. Those who strongly condemned this barbaric act included Ved Parkash Sharma chairman of the Sabha, PC Sharma , Chander Mohan Sharma, senior leaders, NMC president, Subash Shastri, Jammu Yatri Bhawan general secretary, Gurdas Sharma, district youth president of the Sabha, Ritiz Khajuria etc.
Former general secretary of Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Gaurav Gupta has also strongly condemned the terrorist act who expressed his profound shock over loss of innocent lives in this senseless act of terrorism.
Jammu Central Mahajan Sabha (JCMS), while strongly condemning the terrorist attack has termed it a senseless barbaric act. The Sabha which met under the chairmanship of its president, Romesh Gupta, appealed all political, social and religious bodies to come on a single platform in denouncing such acts of terrorism. He also expressed his deepest sympathy with bereaved families and prayed for early recovery of injured.
Chamber of Commerce and Industry has strongly condemned the yesterday’s terrorist attack on Shiv Khori pilgrims. The Chamber met here, today under the chairmanship of its president, Arun Gupta in which it termed the attack on pilgrims bus a cowardice act. The meeting held two minute silence to pay homage to departed souls and prayed for speedy recovery of the injured besides expressing deep sympathy with bereaved families. Arun Gupta said despite the strict vigil by security forces the terrorists involved in this heinous act are still at large.
Shiv Sena (SS) UBT, Jammu and Kashmir Unit has termed the attack a nefarious and cowardly act and demanded strong retaliation against Pakistan , the factory of terrorism.
JK Shiv Sena, chief Manish Sahni said that objective of Pakistan sponsored is to disturb the holy Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra starting from June 29 and he warned terrorist organizations to refrain from such acts.
Dogra Front & Shiv Sena led by its president Ashok Gupta held a protest demonstration here, today by torching Pakistani flags in protest against the attack on pilgrims.
Ashok Gupta expressed his anger over the act and offered condolences to the bereaved families. He termed it a crime against humanity and called for strong condemnation. “I am anguished by the terrorist attack on a bus carrying pilgrims in Reasi district. He urged the Central Government to carry operations in the hilly areas of Rajouri and Poonch to flush out the terrorists and their supporters.
Kashmir Pandit Conference (KPC) chief Kundan Kashmiri has also strongly condemned this dastardly and inhuman act and urged the Government to ensure the security of pilgrims and innocent people in J&K. He also demanded stern action against the anti national elements providing shelter to terrorists in J&K.
Shiv Sena Shinde Zonal president, Tilak Raj Shan has also expressed his anguish over this dastardly act and demanded that combing operations be launched on war footing basis to flush out remaining terrorists from hilly areas of Jammu.
Socio-political activist Tarun Upal has also expressed his grief and sorrow over the killing of nine pilgrims on way to Katra after performing darshan at Shiv Kohri yesterday. He demanded that anti terrorist operations be intensified in J&K and all the remaining terrorists in UT be flushed out so that the common man can lead a peaceful life.
Expressing his strong anger over the killing of nine passengers in terrorists attack yesterday activists Mission Statehood led by its chief, Sunil Dimple held a strong protest against Pakistan today. The protestors torched Pak flags, effigies of ISI, Hafiz Syed, Azahar Masood, Lashkar-e -Toiba and other terrorist outfits active on soil of Pakistan. Expressing concern over increasing terrorist attacks Dimple urged PM to order NIA probe into the attack and take stern action against Pakistan.
Senior KP leaders Moti Lal Malla, M K Yogi, P L Koul Budgami, Raj Nath Raina and Vinod Pandita besides AIMCCC chief Desh Rattan have also expressed their grief and shock over the terrorist attack on pilgrims and urged the Government to tighten the security grid especially in hilly reaches and border areas to stop infiltration from across.
Chief spokesperson BJP Mahila Morcha Ritika Trehan has also strongly condemned the yesterdays terrorist attack on a pilgrim bus and termed this dastardly act a crime against humanity.
K K Khosa president KPS has expressed his profound grief & shock over the killing of yatris by terrorists. In a statement issued her today, he urges the Govt to take strong action agains the terrorism and ensure the security of minorities and pilgrims.
