Cong cadre asked to further expedite relief measures

JAMMU, Apr 11: Congress has advised the party leaders and workers of different units and wings of the party to further coordinate the relief measures for the needy and most deserving ones, especially migrant workers, in their respective localities , in view of prolonged fight against the Corona virus.
Congress president, Sonia Gandhi had yesterday, held a meeting with all presidents of PCCs, through video conference to take stock of the situation and had called upon the party cadres to carry forward the relief for the neglected, poor and most deserving people especially the stranded migrant workers, in localities of In their respective places and jurisdiction.
As advised, the PCC president G A Mir has written to all senior leaders of the party including the heads of different frontal wings, DCC and block presidents, representatives of PRIs, and other delegates of the party to identify the most deserving and left out deserving ones in their respective areas and try to help them to meet their requirements of food, so that no body sleeps empty stomach. He said that the Congress workers would take help of public spirited persons to help the most needy and the left out families and the migrant labourers in their locality.
Mir appreciated the workers of different party units and the frontal wings involved in voluntary services in this hour of crisis and asked them to further coordinate and channelise their efforts and remain in touch with the party control rooms in respective party Hqs.
