Gool (Ramban), Nov 29: Seeking vote and support for Congress candidate from Gool-Arnas Assembly constituency Aijaz Ahmed Khan, senior J&K Congress leader and MLA Inderwal, Ghulam Mohammad Saroori addressed a series of public meetings at Seri Pura, Thatharka, Mugjii Dharam, Sangaldan, Mavul Koot, Bada Kund areas of district Ramban today.
While addressing gatherings, Saroori said the doors of Congress are open for all well meaning people, who want to contribute in the party’s efforts to bring about lasting peace, and development in the region. He said it is encouraging that the people in large numbers are joining the Congress and reposing their faith in the democratic process to find solution of their problems.
Saroori also staged a road show at Sangaldan and said that the people will vote for the Congress as the party has carried out massive development in all the three regions of the State during the tenure of Chief Minister, Ghulam Nabi Azad (2006-2008). The party is banking heavily on the stature of Azad, to counter the BJP propaganda in the State.
He further said that Congress candidate from Gool-Arnas Aijaz Ahmed Khan has been tested by the people in past and it was an established fact that during his tenure in power he left no stone unturned for the over all development of Gool-Arnas Assembly constituency without any discrimination of caste, creed, colour, rich and poor.
