JAMMU, Dec 14: Former Union Minister and PCC president Prof Saif-ud-Din Soz has claimed that Congress is committed for equality and equitable development in all the three regions of the State.
Addressing a public meeting in favour of Congress candidate from Jammu East Vikram Malhotra, Prof Soz said that Congress Government in the Centre as well as State has always worked for bringing equality among all the communities of the country especially in Jammu and Kashmir. He further said that Congress is known for its commitment towards providing equality among all sections of the society for which it will continue its fight whether it will be in power or Opposition. He said only Congress can ensure equitable development in all the three regions of the State.
Prof Soz appealed the voters to vote for Congress Party in the Assembly elections for the all round development of the State.
While reiterating his call to remain vigilant against parties and leaders who were busy in selling dreams that could never be realized, Mr Malhotra appealed the electorate to vote in his favour in order to ensure that the development process initiated by him in the constituency continues to see a forward trend.
The Congress candidate today visited Super Bazar, Raghunath Pura, Science College, Chowk Chabutra, Kali Janni and some other areas of the constituency and interacted with masses.
On this occasion, Malhotra said that the sitting MLA from Jammu East ignored the problems of the people of this area related to power, water and roads. The people have suffered huge losses in the recent floods but the State Government did not provide them with the adequate compensation. He assured the people to work with full dedication if he is voted to power.
