NOWSHERA, Dec 2: Ravinder Sharma (MLC) today filed his nomination from Nowshera Assembly Constituency as a Congress nominee before the Returning Officer.
A large number of Congress workers and supporters marched alongwith him at the time of filing of nomination. Earlier, before filing his nomination papers he addressed the large gathering at Bus Stand, Nowshera and said that Congress will emerge as a single largest party in the Assembly.
Stating that the Congress has done a lot for the welfare of the people of the state, Mr. Sharma criticized the BJP for hallow and false propaganda and divisive politics.
He thanked the gathering for their enthusiasm and participation in large numbers and said that Congress has always respected the aspirations of people of all the three regions of the State. He said that Congress party will serve the best interests of the State and the electorates would respond in terms of votes in the elections.
He said that Congress would succeed as winning party in the State. He referred to the contributions of Congress startwarts especially Master Beli Ram who nourished the Nowshera constituency for a long time and pledged to carry forward the agenda of development and welfare of people of all sections especially weaker sections and minorities. He said that Nowshera Constituency is a gateway of Rajouri-Poonch zone and would be developed to serve as a place of attraction and tourist destination.
He said that Congress will emerge victorious in a thumping way in all three regions and form the next government to carry forward the agenda of peace, progress and prosperity.
