Cong emerging first choice of people in J&K

SUNDERBANI, Aug 6: Several senior leaders quitting other parties and joining Congress is an indication of the reality that Congress is emerging as first choice of people in Jammu & Kashmir.
Addressing a largely attended meeting of Block Congress Sunderbani today JKPCC chief spokesperson and former MLC, Ravinder Sharma said that Congress will emerge more stronger in the days to come as number of senior leaders from different parties have expressed their desire to join Congress, which indicates that Congress has become the first choice of people.
He said all such requests from various quarters and leaders of different levels are being examined by the party leadership. More and more leaders and workers are willing to join Cong from all areas of UT, as Congress is the only secular, democratic alternative to the present dispensation which believes in divide, crush and rule.
Welcoming several prominent persons into Congress besides felicitating the newly elected AYC team of Sunderbani, Ravinder Sharma exhorted the party workers to gear up for the upcoming ULB and Panchayat elections. Those who stood loyal to party for years would always be given due respect and place in the party besides party ticket for grass root institutions.
President Block Congress Sunderbani NC Sharma, BCC Devak Tirth Ram Sharma, Vijay Kumar Damral (Retd Principal), Yog Raj Sharma, Om Parkash Sharma, Ashok Kumar, Raj Kumar Raina, Chuni Lal, Dr Ved Sudan, Vishav Kumar, Surinder Bhagat, Govind Sudan( AYC president) Rakesh Narwal DYC (Gen Secy), Virinder Singh, Capt Joginder Singh, Raj Kumar Raina and others were present on the occasion.
Several prominent speakers highlighted the hardships being faced by the common people. They listed the problems of water, power, health, education, ration besides large scale unemployment and unprecedented price hike. They strongly demanded early Assembly elections and restoration of Statehood.
