JAMMU, Sept 4: Senior Congress leader and member Media Coordination Committee Jammu Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) Kapil Singh has expressed concern over the proposal of Housing and Urban Development Department to construct parking lot over the temple land of Panjbakhtar Temple at Panjbakhtar Road, here.
Singh said that such move should be immediately shelved as it is hurting the sentiments of devotees and local population.
Condemning BJP and its local leadership for encouraging such moves for the personal interest, Kapil Singh said that no temple land should be used for anything other than religious purposes.
He said the Government should identify other places in Old City to make parking.
Kapil Singh has warned the Government to stay away from Temple Land, Sports Field, Educational Institution and Historical Places of Jammu and don’t use them for commercial and parking purposes.
