DODA, Nov 11: The Congress fact finding team reached out to the party workers of District Doda, Kishtwar, Ramban and held detailed deliberations there.
The team headed by Ravinder Sharma, Chief spokesperson and comprising former Legislative Council Chairman Jahangir Mir, Former MLCs Ved Mahajan, Naresh Gupta Koodaa and former MLA Dina Nath Bhagat held day deliberations with senior leadership, party candidates, district and block functionaries besides PRIs of Chenab region.
They also discussed the outcome of recent elections and challenges before party and suggestions for strengthening of organization at grass roots level.
The committee met delegations of prominent workers of eight Assembly segments of Chenab region and listened their views and their inputs.
The workers told them that Congress fully supported the alliance wherever there was no friendly contest, however there was polarisation besides use of huge resources by BJP.
Senior Congress leaders cautioned the party workers against the divisive agenda of BJP and asked them to stay united.
They told the Congress workers that unity in diversity and secularism is the basic principles of strength of our pluralistic nation.
They further asked them to strengthen the organization at grassroot level with due representation to all sections of the society.
Among others who interacted with the party workers included former MLC Sham Lal Bhagat, Ashok Dogra, District presidents Sheikh Mujeeb Asif Iqbal, Parvez Wani, Pyare Lal Shan, Riyaz Ahmed DDC, Sheikh Irshaad, Javed Lone, Vijay Hitesh, Mohd Abbas, Farooq Ahmed, Mohd Shafiq, Mohd Abbas, Mohd Younis Chaudhary, Farooq Katoch Rashid Malik, Abdul Rashid Naik, Mohd Ishaq Naik, Janak Singh and Runyal.
