‘Resuming LoC trade, dialogue with Pak not possible’

JAMMU, Oct 4: Union Minister of Health, Chemicals & Fertilizers and national president, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) J P Nadda today blamed Congress of fighting J&K poll in alliance with National Conference (NC) for restoration of controversial Article 370 which was annulled by Narendra Modi Government in 2019.

Addressing an Abhinandan rally at Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh today, Nadda said the Article 370 was the root cause of separatism in the J&K and the situation in the Union Territory has completely changed for better after its abrogation.
He also accused Congress of favouring dialogue with Pakistan and resumption of LoC trade. “Resuming of LoC trade and dialogue with Pakistan is not possible as it (Pakistan) is sending armed desperados to J&K and through LoC trade arms and ammunition from across the border will be smuggled in the UT which will not be allowed at any cost”, he added.
Giving all credit to Modi Government for turning tough on terrorism and its harbourers, he said BJP Government at Centre taught Pakistan a lesson by hitting it inside its territory. He asked people do they want to have dialogue with a country which is sending terrorists inside J&K?.
Lambasting Congress, Nadda said the party is synonymous with casteism, regionalism, corruption, extremism, criminalisation and anti nationalism.
“It (Congress) divides the people on the name of caste, region and religion for its vested political interests,” he said, adding “There was no accountability in Congress regime while accountability is the corner stone of BJP Government, ” he added.
Nadda criticising the Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi said it is unfortunate that Congress leader during his recent visit to US discussed India’s internal issues there. He defamed country saying his party will do away with the reservations, added Nadda.
The BJP president said “Till Narendra Modi and BJP is there no one will be allowed to do away with the reservations in the country”. He also accused Congress party of promoting extremism.
He said the future of India as well as Himachal Pradesh is bright under the leadership of Narendra Modi who launched many welfare and development schemes for the country during last 10 years of its rule.
Nadda said that the economy of developed nations like US, China, Japan and European countries is in doldrums after COVID pandemic and Ukraine war. “But India is only a ray of hope as our economy is growing.”
He said India which was the 11th global economy in 2014 is now the fifth economy of the world after surpassing the United Kingdom and three years later it will be third economy of the world. Despite slow progress of world economy Indian economy is growing at a faster rate. “Our growth rate is 6.8 percent which is the highest in the world,” he added.
The BJP president said “India is on the second number in steel manufacturing and it is also ahead in electronics manufacturing in the world. Earlier we used to purchase bullet proof jackets and now we export them”, he added.
The Union Minister said many schemes were launched in the country for benefit of people and alleviation of poverty. The poor people were provided gas cylinders under Ujwala scheme, he added.
Earlier mobiles which were used in India were either made in Japan or China and country was importing them from these nations, he said. Now the country manufactures mobiles itself. Even ‘Apple I Phone’ is now manufactured in India, he added.
Nadda while highlighting various poverty alleviation measures of the BJP Government said 25 crore people were brought above poverty line in the country during last 10 years of Modi rule. He added that India is fast marching ahead on the path of development and progress.
He said BJP does not believe in discrimination on the basis of religion, region or caste and it works for betterment of all communities including SCs , STs, poor etc. The party does not believe in any kind of appeasement but sticks to its principle ‘justice to all appeasement to none’, he added.
Nadda while reiterating that Modi Government is committed to welfare of the countrymen and from this month onwards Rs five lakh will be paid every individual in every family who will be above 70 years of age for his treatment under (Ayushman Bharat) Health Insurance Scheme. This scheme will continue every year, he added.
This was first visit of Nadda to his home State Himachal Pradesh after becoming the Health and Family Welfare Minister in June this year. He said Modi has become PM of the country for third consecutive term after 60 years.
Complimenting the people, he said with their support BJP has for the first time came to power in Odisha and the NDA Government came to power in Andhra Pradesh.
He said there is BJP and NDA Government in majority States of the country as party is committed to development and progress of country with secure future of coming generations.
He said no body had dreamt that Medical Colleges will be established in Mandi, Hamirpur, Chamba and Sirmore or a Super Speciality Hospital in Shimla. He said Modi Government created a new history of development for HP. The rally was also addressed by former Minister and MP Anurag Thakur and other senior BJP leaders.
