JAMMU, Mar 11: Battered, divided opposition with the main political outfit Congress not finding any ally cannot challenge Prime Minister, Narendra Modi in the ensuing Lok Sabha polls in 2024.
This was stated by senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta while speaking on the sidelines of function held here today.
Kavinder, while laying stress on his assertion, said that the Congress party is in a fix and baffled after Government led by PM Modi has waged a war against the corrupt politicians in the country. He said that the position of Congress has been clear by the fact that when scores of opposition leaders approached Modi over the actions carried out by CBI and the ED, no leader of the Congress party joined them making it crystal clear that there are acute differences in the Opposition parties.
The former Deputy Chief Minister reiterated that battered opposition can’t take on Modi in the upcoming Parliamentary elections because the entire nation is backing the Modi Government due to its honest and nationalist characteristics which are badly missing in Congress and other opposition constituents because these entities can go to any extent to have political mileage, which is not liked by the people of the country and therefore the chances of success of opposition in ensuing polls are bleak or one can say the divided opposition cannot pose any serious challenge to PM Modi or BJP in 2024.
Kavinder said that Opposition party leaders including many in the Congress are involved in neck-deep corruption and therefore hitting out the Government for its tirade against the corruption but the Centre will not change its stance and shall go after every entity which has committed the crime whether belonging to one party or the other.
Earlier, Kavinder Gupta along with Ashok Koul Sangathan Mantri and Rekha Mahajan district president honoured the women from different field in a function held here today. The function was organised by BJP Mahila Morcha in which several women who achieved success in their respective fields were honoured.
Kavinder said today women have become symbols of success and are scripting a new chapter in the country.
