Cong fully prepared for 2024 elections: PCC chief

GOOL, Dec 4: Congress is fully prepared for the upcoming challenges especially 2024 Lok Sabha elections, it will continue to fight for people’s rights and will leave no stone unturned to seek redressal of their grievances.
“BJP has nothing to sell to the people of J&K as it has failed on all fronts besides depriving them of their identify and rights, denying them of their basic democratic rights of choosing their own representatives,” J&K Pradesh Congress Committee chief Vikar Rasool Wani said while addressing party workers meeting at Gool in district Ramban today. .
Wani urged the Party workers to gear up for the upcoming challenges especially 2024 Lok Sabha elections and leave no stone unturned to further strengthen the party at grass roots, as people have high expectations from Congress and want to get rid of BJP, which is responsible for the hardships especially lack of development, extreme unemployment and various other issues confronting people.
JKPCC chief slammed the J&K Govt for the peak unemployment besides expressing concern over the various local issues concerning people especially electricity tariff being charged to public forcefully despite the poor supply of electricity. He said people are feeling unheard and unrepresented in the absence of a popular Govt.
Wani reiterated his demand of restoration of democratic process in the J&K to ensure that people elect their representatives, who could ensure redressal of their grievances at appropriate forum. He said Congress will continue to fight against BJP’s anti people and divisive policies. The poll verdict in three States have further strengthened the party’s resolve to fight against BJP’s communal and divisive agenda.
Senior Congress leaders and PCC Office bearers Ashok Kumar Dogra, Imtiyaz Ahmad Khaday, general secretary, PCC, DCC president Pervez Ahmad Wani, Block presidents, Omkar Singh, ZakirWani, Syed Dar, Mahila leader Parveena and Shamas Din Wani also addressed the meeting.
