JAMMU, Aug 27: BJP today accused Congress of being hand in glove with National Conference (NC) in its separatist and anti national agenda after entering into pre poll alliance with the party.
“The Congress which entered into pre poll alliance with National Conference has given every indication that the party backs NC’s separatist and anti national agenda’’, BJP chief spokesperson , Sunil Sethi told reporters here, today along with Arvind Gupta, Dr Tahir Choudhary and Balbir Ram Rattan the party spokespersons and its media in charge, Dr Pardeep Mahotra.
Sunil Sethi said that NC has hoodwinked Congress and it worstly fell in former’s trap as in pre-poll alliance a Common Minimum Programme (CMP) is framed and on the basis of it the manifestos are released. But in NC-Congress case the former released the poll manifesto first to please its constituency in Kashmir by including all controversial and anti national issues in it, he added.
He said the NC manifesto promises to release all anti national and separatist elements presently in jails, reduce the checking on National Highway and advocated for holding talks with Pakistan.
Sethi said this way the NC is posing a threat to national unity and integrity as releasing the separatist and anti national elements will further boost anti national elements in the UT and decreasing checking on NH will also boost the narcotic smugglers whose money is spent for terror funding. This is a grave threat to national unity and integrity which no nationalist Indian will tolerate, he added.
The BJP leader, while lambasting the NC leaders said that deliberately such issues were included in the party manifesto which will boost terrorism and lead to disintegration of the nation. He, while making a dig at Congress party said that Congress joined pre-poll alliance with NC which indicates it is fully in agreement with its anti national poll manifesto of that party.
Sethi said that the people of Jammu have to decide whether they will support NC and Congress parties who are talking of restoration of 370 and 35 A and the forces who want to create disturbances in Jammu too as the party is hell bent that the people of this region should also not live in peace. BJP is nationalist party which has never cared for power but strengthening nationalism in country has been its main concern. The BJP has been always ready to sacrifice power for national cause. This is the reason that party gave a mandate to a girl whose father and uncle gave their lives for nation. In comparison to that the NC gave mandate to those candidates who are against the national unity and integrity, he added.
The BJP leader said that this is the election between two ideologies one is that which wants to make nation strong, take it ahead in all spheres of life, eliminate terrorism and other is which supports terrorism, anti nationalism and want to break this nation. Now it is up to the people to decide that which ideology they want to support, he added.
