JAMMU, Jan 20: The Congress Party has no moral right to take out Bharat Jodo Yatra (BJY) in Jammu and Kashmir.
This was stated by Priya Sethi, National Executive Member, Bhartiya Janata Party during a party programme here.
She said, “this is the same Congress party and its allies that didn’t allow our party leaders Anant Kumar, Sushma Swaraj and Arun Jaitley to raise the tricolour in Srinagar as they took them into custody at Jammu Airport and then forcibly sent them back to Pathankot.
“So, morally Congress has no right to take out BJY in Jammu and Kashmir.”
“It is an irony that the Congress party and its leadership, who have always divided the country on religious and regional lines, are today marching in the BJY. They should apologise to the Nation for their blunders,” Sethi said, during a party function organised here to welcome scores of women into the BJP fold.
Addressing the new entrants into the BJP fold, the former Minister, Priya Sethi asked them to impress upon the women folk to join the country’s largest political party.
Among others who were present in the joining function were BJP Vice-President Anuradha Charak, District President South Rekha Mahajan, Pushpinder Charak, Vivek Patyal, Divya Jain and others.
The program was coordinated by Pooja Grover, State Mahila Morcha Spokesperson.
Prominent women activists who joined the BJP fold were Rita Devi, Neeraj Sharma, Keshav Dev, Ridham Gupta, Imran, Shelly Gupta, Sushma Arora, Kamlesh, Sunita, Maya and others.
