KATHUA, June 23: Congress party held one day convention in which its Block presidents and activists participated to discuss the present situation of the State and to prepare the party workers to works in the interest of public.
The convention was attend and address by MLC Balbir singh, Ex MLA Girdhari Lal, Working District President Pankaj Dogra, Rajiv Gandhi from Panchyati Raj Sangthan, District President Karan Singh and other senior leaders.
While addressing the gathering, MLC Balbir Singh said that the Governor rule in the State declares the failure of both BJP and PDP parties to address public issues, curb militancy, firing by Pakistan along IB and LoC and control the Kashmir situation.
He said that BJP is fully responsible for worsening the condition in Kashmir which is now out of control. He said when PDP and BJP loose faith in public and there is no other option to form Government by any other party, then why not Assembly would be dissolved and call for fresh election.
He asked the Governor to make the situation of State under control and call for fresh election, so that people may choose Government of their own choice.
He stated that BJP looted the State and gave free hand to Kashmiri leadership to take decision against the Jammu people in Government jobs, development projects, etc.
“11000 cases of stone pelters have been withdrawn, but no case of Jammu people in Amarnath land row has been withdrawn so far”, he said, adding that BJP is playing double standard game and now they are exposed before the active people of Jammu and must get result in Assembly.
