Cong holds protest, Dimple warns to continue struggle

JAMMU, Aug 28: District Congress Committee (DCC) Jammu (Rural), further intensifying the ongoing campaign against installation of smart meters and demanding abolition of Toll Plaza Sarore, staged a strong protest at Chinnore Ward No: 62 and 64 of JMC falling in the Jammu North Assembly Segment.
The protest was organised by Hari Singh Chib, president DCC Jammu (Rural) along with locals of Ward No: 62 and 64. Prominent among others present on the occasion were M.K Bhardwaj, senior Congress leader and former president Bar Association, Som Nath Sharma, president BCC, Pata Paloura; Parshotam Singh, president BCC Bhalwal; Sunil Singh, Assembly president Youth Congress and corporator, Rajinder Singh.
Addressing the protesters, Hari Singh Chib lamented that that the Union Minister, Nitin Gadkari and the NHAI are forwarding quite opposite narratives which means that either the Union Minister is unaware about the law, rules and regulations on the issue of Sarore Toll Plaza or else the NHAI authorities are misleading the people of Jammu and Kashmir on the issue.
Mission Statehood Jammu & Kashmir, president Sunil Dimple announced to continue agitation for bulldozing Sarore Toll Plaza, to stop smart metering, Property Tax, starting of Darbar Move and against the shifting of HC complex from Janipur.
Addressing press conference here, today Sunil Dimple president Mission Statehood Jammu Kashmir sent a clear message to the J&K Government that not even a single demand of the J&K people has been accepted by the BJP and J&K Government.
Dimple announced to continue agitation for bulldozing of the Sarore Toll Plaza, to stop installation of smart metering, imposition of Property Tax, restarting of the Darbar Move and against the shifting of HC complex from Janipur.
The J&K unit of Vedic Brahman Kalyan Parishad (VBKP) today urged the J&K UT Administration to roll back on electricity Smart Meters and abolish Sarore Toll Plaza once for all.
In a meeting of the Core Committee of the VBKP’s JKUT unit held here under the chairmanship of its national convenor, Pt Daya Ram Sharma, its J&K unit president, Surinder Sharma (Adv) termed the Sarore Toll Plaza as illegal as it has been installed at a distance of just 43 kms from Ban Toll Plaza, thus violating norms of 60 kms as laid down by National Highway Authority of India.
Prominent among those present on the occasion included- Prem Sharma, Rattan Sharma, VP Sharma, Baldev Sharma, Gopal Sharma, Ramesh Sharma, Rajesh Sharma, OP Sharma, Kishore Sharma, Vijay Sharma, Suneel Sharma (Adv), Ravinder Sharma and Sanjay Sharma.
