Cong, its allies spreading canards about CAA: BJP

SAMBA, Dec 28: National secretary BJP, Sunil V. Deodhar, today asked the party men to effectively counter the misinformation campaign launched by Congress and their ally parties on Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA).
Addressing a meeting of senior party workers of Samba organised to counter the opposition propaganda on Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) he alleged that the Congress has always worked to weaken the spirit of nationalism. He said that Congress never allowed the peace to prevail and always promoted the hatred between various communities.
He blamed Congress and its allies for the present turmoil in various cities of the country. Jugal Kishore Sharma Member of Parliament while addressing the gathering on the occasion said that it was only Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the house who has taken this bold step to bring the Bill and get it passed in both the houses. He said that Narendra Modi is proving a great Prime Minister who has shown courage to bring this bill in the Parliament and created a history after it was passed.
Prime Minister, Home Minister & Central Government is committed for the development of the nation and this is a bold decision that has been taken by Central Government eliminating discrimination between various classes in the society.
He said that it is in discussion everywhere that Citizenship Amendment Act is a good step taken by the Central Government which will provide relief to the people who have been wandering here & there for many years. Minorities (illegal migrants) who came from Pakistan, Bangladesh & Afghanistan are the victims of cruelties who faced hardships in their lifetime especially on the basis of religion. Forcefully conversion of their religion and illegal marriages bound them to leave their countries and entered India. This Act will provide them fundamental right and do justice with them, he added.
Former Minister, Chander Parkash Ganga said that India is a land of unity in diversity and tolerance. The recent decision over Ram Mandir, abrogation of Article 370 and now CAA showed firm commitment towards national security. He appealed the people to maintain peace and communal harmony. Among others present on the occasion were Dr Devinder Kumar Manyal, State vice president, BJP, Suresh Ajay Magotra State secretary, BJP, Amar Singh, district president, Samba, Jungveer Singh Cheeku, Kashmira Singh, Keshav Sharma, Block presidents, Sarpanches, Panches and many others.
