JAMMU, Feb 14: As a part of `Jan Sampark Abhiyan’, the Congress Party organized various corner meetings in Old Jammu city area today.
Led by senior party leader Varun Magotra, these meetings were held in Purani Mandi, Jain Bazaar, Pacca Danga and Kali Janni area of Jammu East. The Congress party listened to the problems of the people and assured to take up the same with the concerned authorities.
The people referred to the dilapidated condition of lanes, roads, shortage of drinking water, leakage of old water pipes, irregular power cuts etc. Specific case of a building situated in Kucha Nihal Shah area Jain Bazar, creating foul smell out of dead animals, heaps of garbage was the main concern of the people of the area.
Magotra criticized BJP Corporators and JMC authorities for the negligence and sought intervention of the Mayor, Chander Mohan and the Commissioner JMC into the matter.
Prominent among those who accompanied Magotra included, Vishal Khajuria, Bhanu Rajput, Rajat Sharma, Sunny, Yuvi Jamwal, Prince Khajuria, Aman Kumar and Vikram Jamwal.
