SAMBA, Sept 4: Congress leader, Sat Paul has urged the management of BBF Industries to settle the problems of its workers immediately.
Addressing the protesting workers of the factory here, today he urged the Government to issue directives to the management of BBF Industries to pay the pending wages of workers at the earliest as their families are at the verge of starvation.
He said it is unfortunate that the industrialists come to the State to establish their units here and after getting subsidy they close their units and return, there by depriving the hundreds of factory workers of their earned wages of months together.
He said though the Government has established the industries in Samba sector with the sole purpose of boosting economy of the people and providing employment to the youth but the same has been broken after the industrialists close their units by taking the benefit of subsidy.
He demanded that in case the BBF Industries has to be closed the workers be given life claim as given in case of Hindustan Liver Ltd and Billwara Group of Industries at Bari Brahmana.
It may be recalled that the workers of the factory are on protest for last 10 days demanding their pending wages and today the Congress leader along with his other Party activists joined the protest in their support.
