JAMMU, Apr 16: Congress leader  Vikas Dutt  toured far- flung border village Kool Khurd near Arnia and listened to the problems of the villagers who are suffering immensely due to negligence of the  Government.
While interacting with the people,  Dutt alleged that people are deprived of basic necessities and other much needed facilities.  He said   Kool Khurd is the only farming village, which  don’t have any irrigation facility and farmers  are dependent  only on electricity to run motors and the transformer installed is of 100KVA which does not give them enough load to get irrigation  water and cultivate their lands. They require minimum 200 KVA transformer to do so.
He pointed out that  this village has two roads which are not being maintained since many years; one road is from Primary School Kool Khurd to Shamshan Ghat and the other is from  main road connecting the village.
The prominent among those present included Raj Pal Saini, Puran Chand, Rajinder Singh, Kamal Singh, Amar Singh, Kuldeep Magotra, Roshan Singh and  Balwant Singh.
Dutt assured the villagers that the matter will be bought into the notice of  administration and the officers  concerned and measures will be taken to start work on the same.
