Cong leader sent to 8-day police remand

Srinagar, Dec 10: A local court today remanded a Congress leader and DDC candidate for 8 days police remand for ferrying militants in Shopian district of South Kashmir.
Police held Advocate Gowhar Ahmed Wani son of Ghulam Hassan Wani resident of Barbugh village in Imamsahab area of Shopian was detained by police on December 7. He was questioned for ferrying militants and yesterday Police registered a case (FIR No 98/2020 u/s 307 IPC,7/27IA Act,16/18/19/20/23/38/39 UAPA) in Police Station Imamsahab, Shopian.
He was formally arrested yesterday and today he was produced before the court. The local court sent him to 8 days of police remand.
