Cong leader’s appeal to Guv

KALAKOTE, Jan 11: In a statement issued here, former Legislator and senior Congress leader, Ashok Sharma while expressing serious concern over the long stalling of 7 Micro Hydle-cum-Irrigation Power Projects in Kalakote Assembly Constituency has appealed the Governor N N Vohra to take up these projects and initiate the pending process for power generation, irrigation facilities and employment opportunities to the youth.
Mr Sharma added that during the period, he represented the Kalakote segment, seven Micro Hydle Power-Irrigations projects were formulated on Chingus, Taryath, Dalhori, Tattapani, Moghla, Mangal and Nehari rivers.
He said for Taryath and Chingus nallah projects, the tendering files are gathering dust for last over12 years.
Former legislator further added that besides providing power and irrigation facilities to the people, the provision was available to provide employment to around five thousand youths.
