‘People of Kashmir stamped annulling of 370, 35 A’

JAMMU, June 15: Asking the party men to counter the false narrative created by Congress and INDIA bloc leaders, BJP national general secretary and incharge J&K and Ladakh UTs, Tarun Chugh today said that his party’s performance has been far better than Congress and other opposition parties in recently concluded Lok Sabha elections.
Tarun Chugh along with BJP co incharge Ashish Sood reached here this morning to participate in various meetings of the party including senior leaders meeting to discuss and deliberate the outcome of recently concluded Lok Sabha poll and party’s performance and its strategy for upcoming Assembly and local bodies as well as Panchayat elections which can be held at any time in near future.
Chugh, while addressing the meeting of District Development Committees (DDC) and ex Block Development Committee (BDC) members at party office here, said party men need not to be disheartened by false and malicious propaganda of opposition parties and set their own narrative and celebrate party’s victory.
The BJP senior leader took Congress and its leadership to task of misleading public by promising money and jobs during poll campaign and these promises proved a bundle of lies later. “In comparison to that Prime Minister, Narendra Modi has done a lot of work and has emerged a world leader,. Entire world respects him’’, he added.

He asked the party men to highlight the achievements of last 10 years of Modi Government and not get disheartened by mischievous propaganda of Opposition parties.
“You should put questions to Congress leader whether they fulfilled the promises made in those States where they are in power and what happened to its promises made to the people of Punjab when it was in power in the State,’’ he added.
“You should built your own strong narrative to counter false narrative of Congress and other opposition parties’’, Chugh said referring to DDC and ex BDC members.
He congratulated party men for retaining both seats of Jammu region and winning them with a convincing margin of votes. “This is the result of your dedication and hard work that BJP retained both seats with a convincing margin and you should celebrate it instead of becoming disheartened,’’ he added.
Later talking to media, Chugh said people of Jammu blessed Narendra Modi and party won both the seats of Jammu division and “we are marching ahead of all.”
On record number of people’s participation in Assembly elections in Kashmir, Chugh said the Pakistani agenda has totally failed in Kashmir and people of Kashmir voted for development. The politics of boycott is over and the parties including NC and PDP which had earlier propagated boycott by creating fear psychosis among people were rejected by masses. There were no takers for their narrative and people of Kashmir also stamped the Modi Government’s decision of annulling the controversial Articles 370 and 35 A with the enmass participation in elections.
He also criticized the NC president, Dr Farooq Abdullah for advocating talks with Pakistan saying Dr Abdullah is acting as a PRO of Pakistan and asserted that those attacked India will be given befitting reply by our forces. Those who attacked our innocent people will not be spared as our security forces are alert and capable. They will give them a befitting reply. Those who attacked people will not be spared at any cost’’ he added.
Chugh termed the recent attacks result of Pakistan’s frustration and surge in violence is successful completion of elections in the UT and increased military operations in Kashmir has forced the terrorists to shift their focus to the Jammu region.
Chugh criticized Pakistan for reacting negativity to the positive developments in Kashmir. “ Pakistan can’t accept progress and peace in Kashmir , so they are attacking civilians ,which is disgustful,” he added.
He said J&K is heading towards development and people have developed confidence and trust in Modi and his rule. The people are satisfied with Government and its policies, he added.
Addressing the meeting, Ashish Sood, co -incharge J&K criticized the Congress for hoodwinking public opinion with its false narratives. He said in last three elections the total seats won by Congress are much less than the seats won by BJP in recent Lok Sabha poll. He asked party men to go to the people and apprise them of reality and counter the false narrative of Congress and other opposition parties and start preparations for the Assembly and local bodies’ polls.
The DDC members meeting was attended by senior party leaders including BJP general secretary (org), Ashok Koul, party general secretaries, Dr D K Manyal and Sunil Sharma and DDC chairman, Bharat Bushan. It was followed by ex Corporators meeting which was also attended by party president Ravinder Raina
Later in the evening, the party organised meeting of senior leaders which was attended by MPs Jugal Kishore Sharma, and Gulam Ali Khatana, party president, Ravinder Raina, vice presidents Shyam Lal Sharma , Shyam Choudhary, Shakti Parihar, party general secretaries and other senior leaders and former Ministers.
