ANANTNAG, Apr 22: BJP National Executive Member, National TV panelist & party candidate for Udhampur Lok Sabha constituency Dr Jitendra Singh said today that BJP Government headed by Narendra Modi will help Kashmir usher into new era of development, progress and genuine democracy.
Addressing a press conference here on the last day of campaign for Anantnag Parliamentary constituency, Dr Jitendra Singh alleged that Congress-NC alliance in the State and at the Center had only benefitted a few families in Valley while the common man of Kashmir was suffering from injustice, deprivation and unemployment.
Dr Jitendra Singh said that NC-Cong coalition had patronized scams, land grabbers and blazers. The public exchequer had been wastefully squandered by the leaders of the ruling parties while there was no money even to pay to salary of the Government employees.
Dr Jitendra Singh said that BJP will order an impartial probe into some of the recent scams including 25 thousand crore Roshni scam and multi crore J&K Cricket scam.
The National Conference and Congress was afraid of their acts of omission and commission getting exposed by BJP Government and that is why they have embarked on a baseless campaign against Narendra Modi while the truth is that in the State of Gujarat all the communities including Muslims had recorded an all time rise in the level of prosperity, business and security, he added claiming that BJP is the only truly secular political party in the country today. He said that employment and wellbeing of Kashmiri youth will be the top most priority of Narendra Modi Government.
Also present at the press conference were BJP candidate for Anantnag Constituency Mushtaq Malik Noorabadi, Sofi Yousuf, Altaf Thakur, Gh Nabi Dar and Muzaffar Ahmad Kattu.
He said apart from employment and wellbeing of Kashmir youth, the top most priority of Narendra Modi Government will be to work on Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s mission.
On Indo-Pak relations, Dr Singh said Modi has mentioned in Udhampur rally that he would come up with decisive steps and deterrent measure to end the practice of Pakistan launching a terror attack and beheading soldiers.
“As for as terrorism in concerned in Kashmir, there is very strong Pakistan angle as the export was always from Pakistan,” he said.
Criticizing UPA Government for failing to stop terrorism activities in Kashmir from Pakistan, he said Dr Manmohan Singh at certain occasions had said there was not Pakistan official machinery involved but non-sate actors to push terrorists in Kashmir.
He ruled out any dialogue with Pakistan on the state of weakness and said Pakistan first has to end its terrorism activity in Kashmir, “then of course dialogue is the only way forward”.
