RAJOURI, Apr 9: Former Minister and BJP leader Sham Lal Sharma asked people to give one more term for Prime Minister, Narendra Modi by re-electing Jugal Kishore Sharma from Jammu-Poonch LS constituency as MP.
Addressing series of election meeting at Sunderbani, Rajouri and Poonch, he justified Narendra Modi’s leadership for the country and said only Modi would be able to keep the country strong and fight against Pakistan-sponsored terrorism. He claimed that only Narendra Modi can give a befitting reply to Pakistan and its sponsored terrorism.
Sham also took former Chief Ministers, Mehbooba Mufti and Omar Abdullah to task for playing politics ignoring the sentiments of the people of State in general and Jammu region in particular. He said politics were more important to these former Chief Ministers than the sentiments and welfare of the people of the State. This can be witnessed from the so called “strategic alliance” on the seats of Jammu region only, he added.
He said that the Congress is befooling the innocent people on the name of vote bank. The party has given only corruption, deceived and cheated the people of the country by hollow slogans, was responsible for poverty and dividing the people on communal lines just for sake of power.
Sham said the manifesto of Congress is bundle of lies and dangerous for nation. He said that BJP Government has vision of development and under the leadership of PM, Modi the Government showed courage to take bold decision in favour of common man.
He said this is their old policy “divide and rule” the blunder they have done to the public of Jammu division. He said that the BJP is committed to the welfare of the State and would continue with welfare and developmental initiatives taken by the Prime Minister. He appealed to the supporters and workers of such parties to come forward openly and join BJP, which is a true nationalist party and shall welcome them wholeheartedly.
On this occasion Congress leader and retired ADC, Subash Chander Sharma joined BJP. Others prominent workers from Congress, NC and PDP who joined BJP are Vishal Bakshi ,Vikas Bakshi,Shashi Bushan,Krishan Lal,Sat Pal, Chaman Lal Sharma, Digpal Sharma, Babli Devi, Krishna Devi, Pinky Devi, Koshaliya Devi, Sonu Sharma, Suresh Kumar, Manohar Lal, Sat Pal, Dharam Pal and Madan Lal.
