Cong, NC, PDP responsible for development deficit in Rajouri-Poonch: Khatana

POONCH, May 20: People of Khanater in Surankote and other areas of the twin border districts of Rajouri and Poonch have been deliberately deprived of developments under a well hatched conspiracy by the Congress and its offshoots like National Conference (NC) and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

This was stated by senior BJP leader and Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha), Gulam Ali Khatana while addressing a public rally at Kalsain Khanater area of Poonch today.
About 500 people were present in the rally most of which were poor Tribal, Gujjars and Bakerwals.
Khatana said that Congress, NC and PDP paid no heed to the miseries of Tribal population of Rajouri and Poonch and treated these innocent people as their vote banks only.
“They created fear in the minds of Muslims and used them for political reasons and never thought for welfare of these poor people,” the BJP leader mentioned adding: “Now that the innocent Tribals have seen the developments and progress in the last 10 years of rule under the leadership of PM Modi, they will no more be fooled by the Congress, NC and PDP.”
He said that better living conditions with proper education, health care facilities, good roads, proper water and power supply, better transportation facilities, job avenues, peaceful atmosphere to live has been provided by the BJP Government but the third term to PM Modi will add more developments and progress to the lives of the people.
“PM Modi has special place in his heart for the people of Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory wherein the Tribal, Gujjars and Bakerwals are always close to his heart,” Khatana continued.
He said that the target of BJP to score 400 plus in the ongoing Lok Sabha elections will be achieved soon which will usher an era of extraordinary developments in the country making the nation third largest economy in the world.
“Maintain the traditional brotherhood and peace and strengthen the hands of PM Modi to take the benefits of pro-poor schemes of the government to lead a better life,” the MP said.
Prominent among those present on the occasion were BJP district president, Rakesh Raina, secretary, Naresh Sharma; vice president, Jahangir Khan, vice president, Sunil Sharma, Youth president, Sahil Mir and others.
