DODA, Nov 8: The members of Thathri Development Front (TDF), district Doda has alleged that Congress, NC and PDP are responsible for downgrading of J&K State into two UTs.
In a press statement issued here today Front members said that no Hindu, Muslim, Sikh or Christian is safe in this corrupt and caste based political system & it is the prime duty of every responsible citizen of the erstwhile J&K State, irrespective of caste, colour or creed or region or religion, to expose all these conventional, corrupt and tested Political parties , who have always played divide and rule based politics and misused the Art 370 for their personal benefits & not for the benefit of the common masses.
They said the present situation in the country in general & J&K in particular is due to the corrupt and caste based politics being played by all these traditional political parties. The poor people of J&K have not got any benefit of Articles 370 before abrogation of 370 & 35-A and will not get any benefit after abrogation of Articles 370 & 35-A & all these political parties are exploiting the poor people for their personal political interests. They all are the killers of democracy & democratic Institutions like Panchayati Raj Act 1989 in J&K and are the chips of the same block.
They further said that NC & Congress have ruled the State for about 67 years is squarely responsible for all evils, neglect, under development, corruption, nepotism & discrimination with Jammu & Ladakh regions in general and the rural areas of Kashmir Division in particular & they are primarily answerable not exploiting huge potential of Hydro-electric projects, huge mineral wealth like world famous sapphire, gypsum, ruthless cutting & wasting forest wealth, huge scenic spots in the entire Chenab Valley ignored particularly after ” Noori” film success. NC & Congress always remained against decentralization of powers as a result far off hilly & remote area of the entire J&K State remained neglected & under development & in 2 year’s coalition Government of BJP- PDP they also followed the same path.
The members came down heavily on the present dispensation alleging that Panchayati Raj Act 1989 has become the victim of every regime over the years as it suffered huge amendments to suit the Party interests of every Political Party of the time.
