Cong not to tolerate Dr Kamal’s mischievous propaganda: PCC

Excelsior Correspondent
JAMMU, July 9: While taking strong exception to the repeated utterances of National Conference leader Dr Mustafa Kamal against Congress Party and its leadership, the Pradesh Congress Committee has asked its coalition partner to stop it forthwith as it can lead to disturbing smooth functioning of Coalition Government in the State.
Reacting sharply to the repeated statements of the official spokesman of National Conference and former Health and Medical Education Minister, Dr Mustafa Kamal against the Congress Party and its leaders, the PCC general secretary and officials spokesperson, Ravinder Sharma termed these utterances of NC leader as highly objectionable, mischievous and distortion of historical facts, which are intolerable by the Congress cadre.
PCC leader further said that NC leadership has not only rewarded Dr Kamal by appointing him as general secretary and spokesman of the party but also allowed him to continue issuing false and baseless statements against Congress party and its leaders in order to keep up sagging morale of National Conference cadre.
“The Congress cadre would no longer tolerate these false, baseless, malicious and mischievous statements of the official spokesman of NC and would be forced to take up the issue with the Congress high Command”, Mr Sharma maintained.
Mr Sharma further pointed out that Dr Kamal should know that it is due to the support of Congress Party that National Conference is in power and leading the ‘Coalition Government’ with Omar Abdullah as Chief Minister and his (Dr Kamal’s) elder brother Dr Farooq Abdullah enjoying ministerial berth in the Union Government. It would be wise for him to put hold on his distorted and malicious campaign against Congress for ensuring smooth functioning of Coalition in the State, the Congress leader added.
