Cong proved its capacity on development: Balwan

JAMMU, Dec 17: Former MLA and Congress candidate from Marh constituency, Balwan Singh has claimed that Congress party has alone proved its capacity and credentials on the development and good governance to the people of this State.
While conducting door- to- campaign at various villages of Marh including Kanachack, Mr Singh sought a decisive mandate from the people for Congress Party in the forthcoming Assembly elections.
The Ex-MLA asserted it is the Congress-led Government alone which has proved credentials of being pro-development and that it alone can meet the expectations of the people. He promised people of the constituency that if elected, he will not let people suffer any more. He alleged that the local public representative from BJP has failed to ensure development in the area.
He said that stadium for youths, development of roads, proper drainage and sanitation system, recruitment of refugees’ children will be his among his top priority for the people of the constituency.
Mr Singh lambasted BJP for its indifferent approach in dealing with the issue of displaced persons of PoJK by saying that BJP Government in the Centre does not want to help these distressed people and is trying to sabotage the rehabilitation proposal submitted by the State Government.
Prominent among others who accompanied Balwan Singh included Lala Devi Das, Block president, Ashwani Sharma, Bishan Dutt former Sarpanch, Balvinder Sharma, Darshan Lal Mottan, Sham Lal, Ramesh Sharma, Capt Hakim Singh, Maj (Retd) Nanak Singh, Mohd Zaqoob, Mohan Singh and S Harbans Singh.
