Cong, RAS pay tributes to Galwan martyrs

JAMMU, June 15: J&K Congress and Rastriya Atal Sena (RAS) J&K today paid rich tributes to the martyrs of Galwan valley on their martyrdom day.
Senior leaders of J&K Pradesh Congress and DCC urban, frontal wings paid rich tributes to the 20 Jawans martyred on this day, in a simple function at PCC HQ Shaheedi Chowk, Jammu. They observed two minutes silence as a mark of respect to the martyred Jawans and to remember their Supreme Sacrifice for the unity and integrity of the nation.
They expressed solidarity with their family members and saluted them. Prominent party leaders present were chief spokesperson JKPCC Ravinder Sharma, general secretary Yogesh Sawhney and Incharge district president Jammu Urban, Thakur Manmohan Singh. Paying floral tributes to the martyrs, Ravinder Sharma said that the supreme sacrifice of 20 Jawans was very unfortunate as they were caught unaware by the Chinese mischief. He said that country if proud of these martyrs as they fought bravely till last against all odds.
The leaders of RAS J&K paid glowing tributes to its fallen soldiers at Galwan Valley on the first anniversary of their martyrdom. While paying tributes, RAS leaders said the nation will remain eternally grateful to the gallant soldiers who fought in the most difficult high altitude terrain and made the supreme sacrifice in service of the nation. Meanwhile, National Committee of RAS also paid homage to the martyrs of Galwan.
