JAMMU, Dec 4: Congress has secured ten lakh votes more than BJP in the final vote count of four States and its vote percentage too remained the same as compared to last Assembly elections, in the three States where it lost to BJP in the final tally of MLAs.
Quoting the official figures of Assembly results of four States, JKPCC media incharge and senior vice president, Ravinder Sharma said that BJP got 4.80 crore votes whereas Congress secured 4.91 core votes in the final count of votes in four States.
Similarly, the Congress vote percentage has remained intact and has not gone down as being projected, although BJP won with a marginal edge in vote percentage, in three States of MP, Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan.
Reacting to the poll outcome of just concluded Assembly elections in four States, he said that Congress lost 3 States but ended up getting up more than 10 lakh votes more than BJP.
Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh experienced a marginal defeat by 2% and 4%, respectively.
In MP, BJP got 48% but remember that Congress also got 40.5%.
Sharma said these elections were fight between the secular and divisive forces in the Country in which Congress Party fought with great vigour and vitality, it will continue its fight against communal, fascist forces and their agenda.
