Cong seeks attention of Govt towards migratory tribal community

JAMMU, Apr 12: Congress has asked the Govt to notify its policy with regard to the movement of migratory tribal community, as it is facing great hardships in the absence of any clear policy and instructions in view of ongoing lockdown.
As per the statement issued by Ravinder Sharma, Chief Spokesperson of the party, in a letter to Govt through Divisional administration, the party has sought immediate attention of the administration in this regard and sought public announcement of the Govt policy on radio, TV and other modes of communication for the knowledge of all concerned, without further delay so that the community members and all other concerned are aware of it.
The party has also taken up the issues and hardships being faced by Dhoodi Gujjars in view of lockdown and asked the Govt to look into their grievances immediately.
Sharma said that General Secretary of PCC and prominent leader of the community, advocate Choudhary Shah Mohd has already taken up these issues with the senior authorities and in some matters, the divisional administration has intervened also.
The party sought immediate decision of the Government and follow up action.
