Cong seeks pre-fab houses for Warwan fire victims

KISHTWAR, Oct 30: Congress has demanded immediate relief measures including  pre-fabricated houses for the homeless fire victim families of Warwan, in district Kishtwar.
A  Congress delegation led  by Iftkhar Ahmed, MLA Rajouri and general secretary, Pradesh Congress Committee and others, on the direction of JKPCC president Tariq Hameed Karra  visited the village  Mulwarwan  in Inderwal Assembly segment to meet the victims of recent fire incident and take stock of the relief and rehabilitation measures.
Iftkhar and members  Sham Lal Bhagat, Ex-MLC, general secretary PCC  and Sheikh Zafarullah, contesting candidate Inderwal demanded  immediate Relief Measures including  Pre-fabricated houses for the homeless, Solar light packages, medicine for affected cattle, construction of Pakka houses, sanitary complexes, infrastructure development like permanent Fire Service Station, tunnel from Anantnag-Chodorman and Bonda to Changar, upgradation of Health Centre, economic support, issuance of BPL cards at the earliest, priority issuance of documents lost in the fire, waiver of all bank loans etc.
They also demanded long-term support like – Government adoption of Warwan village, compensation from Horticulture Department for destroyed plants, focus on Tourism in Warwan valley to generate employment and announcement of special package for victims.
The delegation assured the victims to apprise the party leadership and to take up their demands with the Government.
