Cong, Shiv Sena, others condemn killing of Salesman in Srinagar

JAMMU, Nov 9: Congress Party, Shiv Sena, Dogra Front and others today condemned the killing of a Salesman by unidentified gunmen in Srinagar on Monday.
JKPCC president Ghulam Ahmed Mir in a statement issued here today, termed the killing of Mohd Ibrahim Khan, by militants in Bohri Kadal area of Srinagar as dastardly and heinous, aiming to vitiate atmosphere.
” Killings in any form were unacceptable and intolerable in a civilized society. I was deeply pained to hear about loss of another precious life in Srinagar,” GA Mir said and conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the family of slain salesman.
The workers of Dogra Front and Shiv Sena under the leadership of president, Ashok Gupta took out a protest rally in Jammu city against the killing in Kashmir by burning the Pakistani flag. Gupta said that to use terrorism selectively against the minorities is an act of cowardice. “We want stern action against the anti-national forces to prevent them for repeating similar acts in future,” he added.
He said on Monday, a civilian Mohd Ibrahim Khan was shot by terrorists outside a shop in the Bohri Kadal area in downtown, Srinagar. Khan was a young salesman who worked at a shop owned by Sandeep Mawa, a Kashmiri Pandit businessman related to Makhan Lal Bindroo ( Chemist) recently killed by militants. Over the last month, civilian killings have seen a spike in the Valley. He said Pakistan sponsored people in Kashmir should be eliminated at all costs.
They are killing Kashmiri Pandits as this attack was also for the pandit who have been promised that they will get their lands and homes back. Its a plot against Kashmiri Pandits by the ones who have encroached on the lands. They don’t want the Kashmiri Pandits to come back and become the rightful owners of their lands, Gupta added.
Mission Statehood, J&K led by its leader Sunil Dimple held protest demonstration against the killing of Salesman in Srinagar by militants and demanded that perpetrators of terror killings be eliminated from Kashmir soil. He alleged that LG Administration has failed to protect the life and property of the people. The protesters were shouting slogans against Pakistan and its spy agency ISI for causing bloodshed in J&K.
